Certified Pool Operator Recertification (21 Apr 2026)

The CPO recertification option is only for Indiana health officials who currently hold a valid CPO certification that will remain valid thru any date in April of 2026. Understand that this “CPO recertification” option does not include actual instruction (neither in person nor virtual). Participants must work thru a video course called the PHTA “Pool Operator Primer” at their own pace. They must complete the course and provide proof of completion before the test date. The test will be proctored virtually, and will cost $200 to cover all expenses.

These opportunities are jointly sponsored by the Indiana Environmental Health Association and by the Indiana Department of Health’s (IDOH’s) Environmental Health Association. It is offered essentially at cost and seats are limited. For these reasons, the recertification option is limited to local and state health officials.

Registration must be made online, regardless of payment method.
