On Friday, June 2nd, just in time for farmers’ market season to be in full stride, the Indiana Department of Health will be offering an online opportunity to learn about home-based vending or, if you are a seasoned veteran, to refresh your home-based vending knowledge. Sharon Pattee will be our presenter, and the scheduled time is 1:00-2:30 (EST). Questions posed to Sharon will dictate if it lasts until 2:30 or if it goes beyond 2:30.
Speaking of questions, if you have any that you would like to pose beforehand, please send them to the following email address: homebasedvendor@health.in.gov. When possible, those questions will be incorporated into Sharon’s presentation; otherwise, they will lead us into the Q&A portion of the presentation. Of course, if a question occurs to you as Sharon is presenting, you will be able to use the chat function in Teams to ask it.
In conjunction with this, a survey (https://forms.office.com/g/ShXuy9dnzE) was emailed to local health departments last week, and it will also be used when considering what to present. If you did not receive this survey, please take 5-10 minutes to take it and give us your insights regarding home-based vending. This survey will close on Friday, May 12th.
